As you well know, more than 3 million people have been left injured or homeless by the magnitude of the 7.3 earthquake that devastated Haiti. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed, and will take months before anyone will have a real response. The capital city of Haiti, Port-Au-Prince and the towns of Leogane, Petit Goave, and Jacmel are the scenes of unimaginable and heart-wrenching destruction.
The thoughts and prayers of all members of the Haitian Day Parade & HaitianSpringFest committee are with Haiti during this difficult time.
Rest assured that we will do anything in our capacity to help in the Reconstruction of Haiti, to begin with the theme of the Parade for this year: Rebuilding Haiti
Believe it or not, the first largest Fund Raising in the Haitian community is set to start on Monday, March 1st to Sunday May 30, 2010 (Haitian Day Parade & HaitianSpringFest). Please donate!

We only choose 2 (two) major credential organizations to work with: MSF (Medecins Sans Frontieres = Doctors without borders) and UNICEF (United for Children Fund). As one can understand in any natural disaster you always need doctors; and also, children are always the most vulnerable population.
$50 $100 $250 $500 or any amount you can give will help save lives.

You should receive a letter of acknowledgment of your donation from either MSF or UNICEF depending on your choice within 2 (two) weeks.
